Is stealing wrong when--

Okay so the bachellor next door had a chicken that had eight babies in November---I saw them running around in his horse corral when they were two weeks old--The tempuratures were starting to get cold and I knew that as soon as the babies got bigger they would start fighting their siblings for space under their mom at night.

I didn't want any of them to die in the cold--SO I stole (TOOK WITH OUT PREVIOUS PERMISSION) them--It took Lliam, James, and I a half hour to chase down these little one--the mom i just picked up ---The babies--Let's just say I am surprised I caught them all with out hurting them--They dodged. They weaved. They almost ended up under my foot--
Finally --being soaked in sweat (yes, i am that out of shape) we loaded them in a picnic basket and took them home to our coop.
I went back to the house a couple days later--to confess--he said "oh i thought the cyotes got them." He could care less--
So I am proud to report that all eight babies are doing well --i think we only have one rooster in the bunch --So after feeding them for the winter I will probably negotiate a couple hens out of the guy and send the rest home.

This is the same neighbor who gave me three calves to nurse back to health--and then told me I could keep them--I am sure he won't mind parting with a few hens.
I am really looking forward to spring --I love all the babies.

Blog CPR

Ah yes--once again I realized that if I don't sit down at the computer my blog will die--

So our last guy night pictures just got down loaded--so i thought I would share---It was Dances with Wolves night. We watched the movie on Thursday night and Friday night the boys chose costumes of their favorite character and dressed up. We had a bon fire --with some dancing around the fire --and some "ta tonka" talk--It's very interesting to hear the kids "talk" native american

Lliam dressed as a buffalo skinner, Emmett was a cowboy along with Wade, and for lack of a native american outfit--James chose to wear his Spokane Chiefs hockey shirt--In a pinch it will do --lol

Poor Owen didn't get to participate--It was so stinking cold outside--there was just no way he and I were going out--but we had fun watching them from the kitchen window--while drinking our hot cocoa. MMMMMM I love being warm.

THE CLONES

It seems hardly fair that i put in nine months of body breaking time to only have two children that look EXACTLY like their dad. You tell me --so you see a single genetic molecule that got into to these boys from my side of the family??

I guess I should be greatful though--they could have turned out a lot worse--If they looked to girly Wade might have sent them back--

Gonna go clean house to get ready for the HOMECOMING on Saturday --wish me luck --KK

My blog is dying

So i have decided I am one of those people who start a blog --and then let them die--Mine is on life support as we speak. I don't know how people find the time to be creative and write something consistently.
Any way I am finding time to write tonight--cause Emmett took a nap at 1600 today --and probably wont' be going to bed until the sun comes up--grrr-at least I got a little nap today too with Owen --so hopefully I can pull through.
This month has been a great month with the children all anxiously awaiting Wade's arrival on the 8th --The boys already have their first guy night planned. Never mind that Wade will be jet lagged and just walking through the door--they are going to attack him as soon as he walks through the door--Why is guy night so paramount--It's one of our only traditions we have been able to stick to and be consistent with in all the time we have been a family. Even before Wade and I were married--Friday Night was guy night. Wade would take Lliam to the baseball field and hang out--
And so it began --We don't have baseball anymore --but we do have the night

So here are a few pictures I have of our guy night--I am new to posting multiple pictures and realize--I SUCK!!

So you will have to guess which desciption goes with which picture... We have here Chic Bo dry night (Louis L'Amour story) complete with bean and biscuit dinner AND then here they dressed up as a hero fighter--and then proceeded to learn how to beat on people thanks to BOB (body opponent bag).

Oh baby just woke up so will have to cut this short--Enjoy for now--

http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=40696338

Just so my family doesn't have to worry about praying for me anymore-- I got this thing nailed now---

OH WOW!!

So is it normal when your four year old tells you he hopes tomorrow is a sunny day?
(that's so sweet)
and further is it normal that he says he wishes for a sunny day so he can pee outside?
(HMMMmmm that's a boy for you)
and then when he says he wants to poop outside too, so the dogs can eat it and say "yum yum yum"----does that still lie withing normal?
(What the hell has been going on all summer!!)

I DIDN'T THINK SO EITHER!!!

So now when the dogs get worms will it be from the goats, horses, chickens or Emmett...

I will just leave you with this one final thought--Raising kids is like being pecked to death by a chicken...

Please be patient

Okay--I officially SUCK--I thought I would start a blog because some of the stuff that happens in my life --is just to funny not to share. Then I tried posting a blog with a 9 month old on my lap--NOT SO PRETTY--

So now as the baby sleeps and I have a two year old on my lap (care taking the neghbors child) I am attempting to sit down and write.

At least now you know who is leaving comments on your blog pages--I appreciate the inspiration you have provided me with and hope that some day I will figure this whole "blogging" thing out and have something clever to say --
In lieu of something witty, I have posted the most recent group picture I have of the boys--Please note--all eyes are open and everyone is looking at the camera. In our house this is nothing short of a miracle--and therefore this may become our Christmas letter photo--as it may only happen once every two years..
More to come...
